This last Christmas, I wanted to find a storybook collection for my son. We already had a few of the other collections and I saw this one. Lightning McQueen stood out to me and my son LOVES Cars so I figured this would be a good choice!The Disney Pixar Storybook Collection is comprised of 17 stories that are based on the Pixar movies. The stories included are:
1. Toy Story
2. A Bug's Life
3. Toy Story 2
4. Monsters, Inc.
5. Finding Nemo
6. The Incredibles
7. Cars
8. Ratatouille
9. Wall-E
10. Up
11. Toy Story 3
12. Cars 2
13. Brave
14. Monsters University
15. Inside Out
16. The Good Dinosaur
17. Finding Dory
This book has a total of 300 glossy pages, bound in a nice hardcover. Each story is roughly 18 pages long and the book measures 9 1/8 inches by 9 1/2 inches by 3/4 inch. This book is printed in the USA.
My son got this book for Christmas and he likes it! I like that the stories are good for boys and girls, which works well for us since I have boy/girl twins who are four. We've seen a number of the movies that have stories in this book and those follow the stories nicely. These stories each take us about 15 to 20 minutes to read so, if we read one of these before bedtime, that works but my daughter usually likes to pick out a story of her own so we don't read this too much before bedtime. I think these stories are great for the preschool and older age since they are longer when kids have bigger attention spans (I'm guessing). Younger kids might not sit through these stories but it certainly can't hurt to try, though the pages aren't built to withstand a toddler's desire to destroy everything!
Overall, my son likes this book and will look at it on his own occasionally. I feel we will get more use out of it as my kids get older and the stories are good ones if your child likes the Pixar movies, because, really, who doesn't?!?!? It's a good buy if you want a bunch of stories in one book!

Nice little stories. My 4 yr old only has patience for one story at a time since there are a lot of words one a page and few pictures for the length of the story. But has a lot of different stories in there to choose from.
This is a beautiful hardcover book for the price. I paid just under $7.00 and my daughter will be giving it her nephew for Christmas as he loves all of these stories. Thanks !
My daughter has another Disney Storybook Collection with classic Disney stories, and she absolutely adores it. After reading it to her nightly for months, we thought this would be a perfect follow-up. It's turned out to be a let-down. The stories are badly written surprisingly poorly drawn (drawings rather than the computer-animated looks of the real movies.) Even worse, the original stories for only a few of the movies are included; more than half the stories are made up vignettes with the characters. My three-year-old daughter, having never seen Toy Story or Monsters, Inc., doesn't get much from the follow-up stories without the originals to provide context and background. It's a nice size and a fairly sturdy book for the price, but the storytelling falls way short.
The narration sounds great; clear pronunciation and good diction. However, it would be nice to include sound effects to add depth to the story telling. My 6 year old listened to it while on our long road trip. Also, at the end there’s more about Toy Story. Would be nice to have more variety stories. But overall good audiobook.
My 2 1/2 year old son loves these story time Disney books! He carries them around all the time. If you catch them on Black Friday @ Walmart you can get them for around $5. I always miss them so is my next place to get them. Great deal for an amazing book that will last a life time. My son and daughter both own multiple versions and I always buy them as gifts. Highly recommend.
I got this for my twin boys, age 2. They LOVE everything Pixar and love this book. The pages, however, seem a lot thinner and rip easier than most of their other books. They are not particularly hard on books, they have plenty they read every day and don't rip. This book, however, seems to rip by just turing the pages. I was sad we had to put it on a high shelf and make it a Mommy/Daddy read book, since they really love flipping though the pages, but I didn't want it coming completely apart.
Good collection. I know the stories are really summed up but I feel like they could have done a better job on some of them. If you haven’t seen the movies some of the stories might be kind of hard to follow. Every night I have been reading a different story from this book to my three year old before bed, they are the perfect length.
